Star Trek: Generations, Summary: This movie starts out in Kirk's century, on board the new USS Enterprise-B. Kirk, Chekov, and Scotty are on board to send the new ship off. Right after leaving spacedock, they recieve a distress call from one of three freighters trapped inside this energy ribbon. Once they reached the ribbon, two of the freighters get destroyed, and they are able to beam out some of the crew from the third. Kirk has to sacrifice himself to save the ship, and get them out of the ribbons wake. 80 years later Picard and crew, on board the Enterprise-D, recieves a distress call from a station saying they're under attack. Once they get there, Docter Soran, who was rescued from the station broke into the transporter room and beamed himself aboard and launched a probe that destroyed the Amargosa sun. Soran escaped with Geordi, on a Klingon BOP. Later, the Enterprise finds the BOP, and Soran in orbit of a planet called Veridian 3. Soran is on the planet trying to destroy that sun so he can go back into this pleasure nexus. The BOP learns the shield frequency of the Enterprise and destroys it's secondary hull. Picard fails in stopping Soran on the planet and gets pulled into the Nexus along with Soran. Picard gets out of the Nexus with Kirk and stops Soran the second time. Kirk was killed for good, and the Enterprise-D was destroyed(basically). |

My Review: Music: The music was played with granduer and admirabililty. It was also very enjoyable. 4/5 Enjoyability: The story definately kept me going, and I liked the BOP battle sequence. 4/5 Plot: The plot was good, but it could have been better. I really enjoyed seeing Kirk and Picard talking to each other. 3.5/5 Overall: The movie was more good than bad, but it often ran out of excitement and action. I wish there would have been more tactical battle scenes, and I wish I had seen more of the three original charaters. 3.5/5 |
