This film hit the theaters on June 9th, 1989. It was another Star Trek film, so all the Trkkies liked it, but that's it.

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier: Summary

This movie begins with Kirk climbing up a large mountain on earth. On the ground watching him, is Dr. McCoy. And Spock is flying around with hover boots somewhere. Kirk stops for a moment, to look at the scenery, when Spock comes out of nowhere and startles him. Spock keeps talking to him when Kirk slips and starts to fall, head first, down the mountain. Spock saves him.
Later that night, while trying to go to sleep out in the woods, a shuttlecraft lands with Uhura in it telling them they've got an emergency. The representitives from the Federation, Romulan, and Klingon empires have been taken captive on this world called Nimbus III.
Kirk and crew, back on the Enterprise, leave spacedock with the ship in a wreck.
Anyway, the Klingons intercept the tranmission, and decide this is a good chance to take out the Enterprise. So they go where the Enterprise is heading, Nimbus III.
When the crew arrives their plan to rescue the captives fails, and they are taken captive by Spock's distant half-brother, Cybok. He has a plan to to take them to the Galactic Barrier and thinks he is going to meet God. So, he steals the Enterprise. Well once they arrive (with some Klingon interferance) they find this planet and beam down to it. They find a messed up entity who wants to escape from this world, which he got trapped on.  Well, after some talking, and some action, they escape and destroy the entity. The Klingon reprsentitve took command of the Klingon ship, and that's it.

My Review:

Music: The music was a good, kind of mysterious music.4/5
Enjoyability: It's ok to watch a couple times, but it's kind of like an episode. 3/5
Plot: The plot is a little cheesy, but it makes do for a movie. 2.5/5
Overall: It's a good  movie, but not one of the one's you remember as, "One of the greats or classics"  3/5
