Jonathan Jackson and his brother go prospecting for gold on the silver screen.

After scoring a break through movie role as Michelle Pfeiffer's hoops-playing older son in The Deep End Of The Ocean, Jonathan Jackson is heading for the free-throw line again. This time aruond, GH's beloved former Lucky Spencer is appering in the independent film True Rights opposite an actor to whom he's always looked up: his big brother Richard Lee (who hit a home run as the teen dreamboat ALLY MCBEAL let go to first base following their date in Fenway Park).
It's about Hollywood kind of producers trying to get the rights to people's true life stories," explains the three-time Emmy winner."It's kind of a Hollywood satire".
"Richard plays a young film student who is documenting these producers trying to get the rights," he adds. "I'm one of the people they're trying to get rights from. I play the leader of a militia out in the woods."
The part of a radical bearing arms is lights year away from the character of Lucky, who held Elizabeth, not weaponry, in his arms. Did the versatile performer have any qualms about making the stretch? "No, not really," he says. "It was interesting challenge... a fun role to do."
In addition to True Rights (which will be shopped around to distributors once it is out of postproduction), Jackson has in the can another movie, the drama Purple Haze which was made for ABC and will air this fall. And as the up and coming continues to heighten his profile - he and Richard are co-hosting next month's Young Star Awards, he's nominated in two categories (for GH and Deep End), and already had won three times - rumour that he could nab the coveted role of Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader) in the next Star Wars episode sound even more like reality. Is Jackson ready for his name to become household one? "I don't think most people could be prepared," he says. "But I'll just kind of approach it day to day."
