Character's Full name:
Sir Andrew Ffoulkes, Baronet
Occupation:
at present, none
Physical Description:
Good looking in a craggy, masculine way. You can observe the Norse influence (often seen in Scots) in his appearance. Tall, slender, rugged, very fair, striking blue eyes. Okay, enough gushing. I imagine him about six foot, with that engaging bones-tied-with-string, loose-knit appearance so endearing in young men of 22. High cheekbones, long straight nose and firm chin, thick silver eyebrows, alert, intense eyes, a large, broad, sensitive mouth. Large hands and feet, the long, slender fingers of a musician.
Friendships/Relationships:
trusted, loyal friend of Sir Percy
strong, long-term ties to Lord Tony
beloved of little Suzanne du Tournai
Personal History:
Lord Angus Ffoulkes was an Earl and also a bishop in the Anglican church. Not many Anglicans in lowland Scotland. He was married to Margaret Sinclair for twenty years and they had seventeen children. Sir Andrew was the youngest son. A promising scholar, he was sent to school in England for the best education his family could afford. Smallpox decimated his family while he was away and he has forged strong ties to England and his English friends.
Ffoulkes met Lord Tony at school, where they shared a love of sports and scholarly pursuits. Andrew was a choirboy with a remarkably pure and lovely tenor. There is a friendly rivalry between the two of them, and Andrew has virtually taken Tony's family as his own, which included adopting Blakeney as older brother and mentor.
Sir Andrew is an engaging, sociable young man, a party-animal, fond of dancing. Will sing at parties. Loves amateur theatrics and always takes part. Enjoys dressing up and making a fashion statement. Has ambitions toward a career in the army and plans to make a grand society marriage. Falls in love easily, gets chased by women and is a terrible flirt. Takes his life seriously, both work and play. Is quietly religious with the serene conviction of someone whose faith is firmly rooted.
He's one of the league's best shots and a swordsman of repute. Insanely courageous and known to take risks. Daring, brave, a swashbuckling hero
