Wing (Jackie Chan) is Hong Kong's most famous cop. He's the best of all the policemen, he knows how to solve every case he handles in record time and he is a big time idol for Hong Kong's people. Inspector Wing has become the victim of a gang, led by the evil Joe (Daniel Wu). When his entire team is killed, Wing becomes a hopeless drunk, feeling guilty for the deaths of his team. Nicholas Tse plays Fung in this movie. He is a young boy, a typically street-smart Hong Kong youth who wastes his life in game arcades. Because of his family's criminal background, it seems that Fung can never become a police officer, and follow in the footsteps of his idol Wing (Jackie Chan). Fung finds Wing drunk and want to help him to get back to his policeman leader position and catch the Gang of Five after his first failure.
