DRAWN DECEMBER|

Yep, Smie again, voted back into the chair after a sabbatical. This year the format of the AGM was altered. Instead of the customary BBQ & party where everybody forgot what happened the night before, we held the AGM in conjunction with the July meeting. The elections were conducted in an orderly manner without anybody suffering undue influence into accepting a position. But don't worry &endash; you haven't missed out on the usual Club sponsored AGM BBQ. Check the events calender and you'll see it's scheduled at Gorokan in August. Bring your family along for this social and stay the night. We'll even do some 4WD'ing at Death Valley on the way home on Sunday for those with two diffs and a little stick.
Our club's administration has fallen into lax ways. This has not been the fault of anybody in particular, but rather a continuation of previous bad habits. Our admin has to be tidied up and tightened so that legal responsibility is lifted from the committee and members, and the longevity of the club is secure. Over the next few months the committee will be working towards this goal.
It's that time of year where money is on everybody's mind &endash; the tax man as well as annual subscription renewals. Yeah, the club has it's hand out too !! Membership fees are now due. Along with your fees please remember that it is everybody's responsibility to donate a raffle prize. One per year, about $10 in value, and something that you'd be happy to win. Recently, it's been left to a few, and the Sarge's box is looking a bit bare.
Colette did a top job supplying club shirts embossed with the Club logo. She put an end to months of procrastination. If anybody missed out get a message to her, along with the dough. There's no truth to the rumour I'm going to enforce wearing these to the meetings.
