Choco Love

Life is like a box of
chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.
Life... is like a box of
chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks
for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates.
You're stuck with this indefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly
wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while,
there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too
fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits,
filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're
desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty
box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.
Will work for chocolate
Put a smile on your face,
make the world a better place.
Life is like a box of
chocolates .. full of nuts!
All I really need is love,
but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!
Chemically speaking,
chocolate really is the world's perfect food.
Don't wreck a sublime
chocolate experience by feeling guilty. Chocolate isn't like premarital
sex. It will not make you pregnant. And it always feels good.
Nine out of ten people like
chocolate. The tenth person always lies..
I never met a chocolate I
didn't like.
Chocolate causes certain
endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and
behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in
turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you
maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat
lots of chocolate!
It's not that chocolates are
a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. Chocolate is,
let's face it, far more reliable than a man.
Chocolate is cheaper than
therapy and you don't need an appointment.
The superiority of
chocolate, both for health and nourishment, will soon give it the same
preference over tea and coffee in America which it has in Spain.
Carob is a brown powder made
from the pulverized fruit of a Mediterranean evergreen. Some consider
carob an adequate substitute for chocolate because it has some similar
nutrients (calcium, phosphorus), and because it can, when combined with
vegetable fat and sugar, be made to approximate the color and consistency
of chocolate. Of course, the same arguments can as persuasively be made in
favor of dirt.
There are four basic food
groups, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate
truffles.
Strength is the capacity to
break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat
just one of the pieces
Other things are just food.
But chocolate's chocolate.
If one swallows a cup of
chocolate only three hours after a copious lunch, everything will be
perfectly digested and there will still be room for dinner.
Las cosas claras y el
chocolate espeso. (Ideas should be clear and chocolate thick.)
Biochemically,
love is just like eating large amounts of chocolate.
If you are not feeling well,
if you have not slept, chocolate will revive you. But you have no
chocolate! I think of that again and again! My dear, how will you ever
manage?
Venice is like eating an
entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go.
What you see before you, my
friend, is the result of a lifetime of chocolate.
Chocolate is a perfect food,
as wholesome as it is delicious, a beneficent restorer of exhausted power.
it is the best friend of those engaged in literary pursuits. Pure Love
Darkness
cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out
hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies
violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of
destruction....The chain reaction of evil -- hate begetting hate, wars
producing more wars -- must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the
dark abyss of annihilation.
Smile at each other; smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at
your children, smile at each other- it doesn't matter who it is- and that
will help you to grow up in greater love for each other. Love, like truth and beauty, is concrete. Love is not fundamentally a sweet feeling; not, at heart, a matter of sentiment, attachment, or being "drawn toward." Love is active, effective, a matter of making reciprocal and mutually beneficial relation with one's friends and enemies. Love creates righteousness, or justice, here on earth. To make love is to make justice. As advocates and activists for justice know, loving involves struggle, resistance, risk. People working today on behalf of women, blacks, lesbians and gay men, the aging, the poor in this country and elsewhere know that making justice is not a warm, fuzzy experience. I think also that sexual lovers and good friends know that the most compelling relationships demand hard work, patience, and a willingness to endure tensions and anxiety in creating mutually empowering bonds. For this reason loving involves commitment. We are not automatic lovers of self, others, world, or God. Love does not just happen. We are not love machines, puppets on the strings of a deity called "love." Love is a choice -- not simply, or necessarily, a rational choice, but rather a willingness to be present to others without pretense or guile. Love is a conversion to humanity -- a willingness to participate with others in the healing of a broken world and broken lives. Love is the choice to experience life as a member of the human family, a partner in the dance of life, rather than as an alien in the world or as a deity above the world, aloof and apart from human flesh.
To live in this world you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go. Blackwater Woods --Mary Oliver Each time that one loves is the only time one has ever loved. Difference of object does not alter singleness of passion. It merely intensifies it. We can have but one great experience at best, and the secret of life is to reproduce that experience as often as possible.
