Anthony James Lucca III was born January 23, 1976 in Waterford, Michigan. A natural performer, Tony Lucca has been making music since his early childhood. In 1985, at just nine years old, Tony and his cousin Cole began to perform live shows in the Detroit area. In 1989, the two man band expanded and began to play professionally.
Two years later, Tony landed a gig on the Disney Channel show, The New Mickey Mouse Club, where he peformed with a stellar cast, including JC Chasez, Keri Russel and, later, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.
The New MMC ended in 1994. A year later, Tony was cast to play Zack Morrison in the short-lived NBC drama Malibu Shores.
Tony recorded and released his first independent project, "So Satisfied," in 1997 and he hasn't stopped since. Two years later, he churned out a darker work, "Strong Words, Softly Spoken" and in 2001, he gave us "So Far." His latest effort, "Simply Six," was released in 2002 and his fans are eagerly awaiting his fifth album.
In November of 2003, Tony signed with OME/Lightyear/Warner Elektra Atlantic (WEA) and his latest album, "Shotgun," is slated for an early 2004 release.
Though critically acclaimed and possessing the love of a small but loyal fan base, Tony is still searching for mainstream acceptance. With his boyish good looks, charm and incredibly powerful voice, this girl thinks that the release of "Shotgun" is almost certain to make Tony Lucca the Next Big Thing.
