LONDON 2002
The famous British museum, home to lots and lots of cool artifacts, and right by our site!
Ah yes... The famous Big Ben clocktower next to the Houses of Parliament. A London landmark.
More pictures: Grinnell-in-London.
They still have horse guards here!
Me and Vicky with a funny yet wise baboon in the Egyptian exhibit.
Our friends Courtney and Georgia in front of the Tate Modern on the Millenium Bridge, a really cool modern bridge that gives you a great view of St. Paul's Cathedral.
The steps just outside the British Museum's infamous Reading Room. Famous card-holders included Karl Marx, Virginia Woolf, (the woman I'm studying in my seminar) and every other important British person ever. No, really.
A typical room inside the British museum.
The crazy Lloyd's-of-London building, created by the same architect who designed the Museum de Pompidou in Paris. The idea is that all of the normally internal features of a building--including elevators and air vents--are now on the outside. It looks very futuristic.
(thanks to my buddy Nick Buess for the pictures)
