Trieste is a wonderful town full of wonderful cats. Cats made of fur and flesh, but also of wood, plastic, paper, metal, fabric...in any colour, in any dimension... cats over pillows, cats in the socks, cats on teapots, cats on mugs, cats over towels, cats on blankets, knick-knack cats, paperweight cats... and then cats popping out from book's pages or saying you what time it is! Cats everywhere... and little bowls full of water and food and beds among the bushes... Don't you believe it? Just to begin go to S. Giusto castle and admire the marked artistic sensibility of the Trieste furry inhabitants, castle's careful keepers. Look for them among the Old City's lanes... it wont be difficult to find them... And, if you don't feel like or have no time to go to Trieste, you can caress them with your look in these pages, uniquely dedicated to them, the wonderful

Bora Cats.

What is Bora?

It's a very strong, cold wind that blows from the northeast onto the Adriatic region of Italy and Yugoslavia. The word is Venetian dialect, from Latin boreas, "northwind." It is most common in winter and occurs when cold air crosses the mountains from the east and descends to the coast so rapidly that it has little time to warm up. It often reaches speeds of more than 100 km (60 miles) per hour and has been known to knock people down and overturn vehicles. The name bora is given to similar winds in other parts of Europe, including Bulgaria, the Black Sea, and Novaya Zemlya in the Russian Arctic.
