Il Bimbone was born in the Autumn 2000 and since Spring 2001 he has been with us, because Fede and I were looking for a big good cat to live with. Actually, when he came for the first time in our home, at the age of 7 months, he wasn't yet a Bimbone ( it means Big Baby), but just a frightened kitten, serious and reserved. He used to look at us thoughtfully, he seemed to ask us : " Who you are? What do you want from me? Where am I? Why am I here?" and we tried to make him understand, with all the sweetest caresses we could, with our fondness and an always ready huge bowl full of delicious pap, that we love him from the first time we saw him...We looked and observed him, but that kitten so seriuos and meditative, has never suggested us a name adequate to his personality... thus, considering the cares we have devoted to him till now, the worries he gave us, especially in the first days, the big affection that gets us closer to him, and the joy his presence gives us, it came spontaneous to call him "Bimbo" which means Babe, like a son, waiting for inspiration for a real name. But, in the meantime the Bimbo has grown, very well... now, in September 2001, he is a cat so big that the veterinarian said he is a bull, he has a big good and serious face and a large neck...and, because he has not yet a real name, we have begun to call him "Bimbone" which means Big Babe. He is a really good cat, silent, quiet and reserved, but he cannot resist caresses.... and the quiet, the warm and the comfort of his (our) home...especially when outside is cold. He does deserve a beautiful page totally devoted to him, our dear, beloved, good and tender BIMBONE!
