The mosts famous of the American gaited breeds is the Saddlebred. It evolved in the southern of America as a practical all-round performer, but is now regarded as a brilliant show ring horse.The Saddlebred is an imposing horse with great presence and spirit, it performs a walk, trot, and canter with high, elevated action. The additional paces is "slow gait" and "rack." When its hooves are trimmed normaly, the Saddlebred can be used for pleasure or for trail riding. |
