CCM "Send To" Interface v1.1

DESCRIPTION

This is a freeware program which is designed to work as a "Send To" interface (STI) for the CCM file compressor. The STI can handle single or multiple files for compression or decompression via the context menu or drag and drop. 



REQUIREMENTS

This program requires Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista operating system with a copy of the CCM file compressor present in a folder anywhere in the path (e.g. C:\Windows\).



"SEND TO" INSTALL

1. Create a new folder in "Program Files" with a name something like "FC_STI".

2. Copy the "CCM_STI.exe" executable to the folder you have created.
  
3. Create a shortcut in the Windows "Send To" folder to the "C:\Program Files\FC_STI\CCM_STI.exe".

4. Rename the shortcut to something like "CCM".



"DRAG AND DROP" INSTALL

1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above if you have not already done so.

2. Create a shortcut to "C:\Program Files\FC_STI\CCM_STI.exe" on the desktop to compress (or decompress) by drag and drop.

3. Rename the shortcut to something like "CCM".

4. Associate ".ccm" files with "C:\Program Files\FC_STI\CCM_STI.exe" to decompress files by double click.



*NOTES*

You need to have "Show hidden files and folders" enabled to be able to see the "Send To" folder.
 
The Windows Vista "Send To" folder is located in "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo" (Replace <user> with correct user name).

The Windows XP/2003 "Send To" folder is located in "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\SendTo\" (Replace <user> with correct user name).

The Windows 98/ME "Send To" folder is located in "C:\WINDOWS\SendTo\".

This program is designed to work with CCM version 1.26b or later.

ABOUT THE CCM FILE COMPRESSOR

CCM is a general purpose symmetric file-to-file compressor with good compression ratio. It uses a fast and simple context mixing algorithm.
