THE EVERLASTING ROSE

THE EVERLASTING ROSE

If I could give you but one gift,
My gift to you would be,
An enchanting Everlasting Rose,
And here is why you see,

When I cannot be with you,
And you arent here with me,
The rose is all that you will need,
An Everlasting key.

Hold the rose within your hand,
And then just close your eyes,
Breathe in and let its fragrant scent,
Lift you gently to the sky.

Rising upward to the clouds,
Begin to think of me,
A peaceful breath, a lingering sigh,
A fragrance, rich and sweet,
Filling up your senses
From your head, down to your feet.

Passing through their portals,
You leave all space and time,
My precious 'love' it wont be long,
So soon you will be mine.

With eyes still closed and rose still clasped,
Your heart is racing oh so fast,
Anticipations start to build
, So soon each others touch well feel,
I see upon the distant stars,
Your blessed arrival from afar.

Nearing now I see your hands,
The precious rose within them held,
No glory ever, could match that sight,
Except for the rose Im holding tight.
Ever so close now, I can see,
'Beloved' eyes that long for me.

Close enough to touch your face,
Our hearts have lost all time and place,
With transfixed gaze,
Our wait has passed,
We both reach out, two hands now clasp,
And both our hearts just stop!

Neither breathing, not a sound,
If we dare move our hearts would pound,
Much more than we could ever bear,
But neither of us truly care.
In your eyes I now can see,
My own reflection stare at me.

The feeling of your hand in mine,
Is one of purest, sweet, sublime.
As we lean in for our first kiss,
Our hearts explode, ecstatic bliss.
Two worlds collide, no more apart,
Joined in spirit and in heart.

At last our hearts are finally free,
Im touching you, youre touching me.
Weve lost all sense of space and time,
I am so yours, and youre so mine.
We both are filled with sweet repose,
