Welcome To Lovely Victoriana's Wedding

A Victorian era wedding was always an elegant, formal event.

Being the most important item of the wedding, the bride's wedding gown would have been exquisite, probably made of fine satin and trimmed with delicate lace. Wedding gowns were most often heirlooms, passed down through the years.

As for the Bride's bouquet, it was usually one of roses or orange blossoms.

Marriage vows were not taken lightly. It was a sacred union before God and was truly a "'til death do us part" ceremony.
