Salvation - How To Be Saved
Inviting Jesus To Enter Your Heart
(The Sinner's Prayer)
Dear Heavenly Father,
I have heard about your Righteous Son, Jesus, and now I want to know Him as my Savior - the One who can save me from the penalty sin, which is eternal death.
I believe that Jesus suffered and died on the cross to save me from an eternity of separation from You, and to restore a right relationship with You; and that He physically rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death, and proving Your acceptance of His Sacrifice.
I want to be redeemed from the curse of sin, through the Blood Jesus shed on the cross.
I repent of all my sins, and ask you to help me to lead a life pleasing to you for the remainder of my life here on earth - and afterwards, to spend eternity with You in Heaven.
Jesus said,
"Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
Therefore, I am asking you to bring me into Your Kingdom by this spiritual rebirth of which the Bible speaks. Lord Jesus, I do believe.
Come into my heart and wash me clean of all sin. Bring me into a personal relationship with Thee, And accept me into thy wonderful Kingdom, Write my name in the Book of Life.
Make me thine own child, a child of the King! And keep me in the Palm of thy Hand forever. By faith, I believe that I have just now been born again! I believe that I have passed from eternal death into Life Eternal, based on these words of Jesus:
Help me to become a good and brave soldier of Christ, ready to give my all to You and for You, who have given Your All for me.
May I never hurt You again with sin, but may I never forget your Mercy, should I fail You along my journey Home. Nurture me in my walk of Faith, and cause me to be like the good soil that produces much fruit. Keep me always safe in Your Loving Arms.
Father in Heaven, thank you for creating me, for giving Jesus to save me, and for sending Your Own Spirit to live within my heart. Make me a faithful witness for You as long as I have breath.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Rom. 10:9-11
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all;
and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
I and my Father are one." John 10:27-30
Just As I Am
Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Rev. 3:20
When Jesus stands at the door and knocks, will you open the door and let Him in or will you turn Him away? Jesus is knocking on your door today. We, at Lovely Victoriana, pray that you make the right decision and let Jesus enter in. Please pray "The Sinner's Prayer" and have a little childlike trust and faith. You may question and doubt at first and wonder if indeed you have been saved, but in time you will know for sure. When Jesus enters your heart, you can feel His presence and He reveals His love to you in many ways. He gives you a hunger to learn more about Him. As you begin to read His Holy Word in the King James Version of The Holy Bible, he will replace the emptiness in your soul with the fullness of His peace. Trust Him and you will see.
And always remember: When He was on the cross, YOU were on His mind.
Jesus loves you.
