Shoegazer -- britpop --- indie rock --- dreamy/noise pop
"While a lot of bands are trying to emulate the garage
band sound a la the Strokes and the Hives, Shade has the good taste to go to
other sources. Would you believe the atmospheric post-punk of 20 years ago?
This is the type of music New Order could have made if Ian Curtis hadn't killed
himself - moody, ethereal and sometimes brilliant."
Regis
Behe --- Pitsburgh Tribune Review
A sonic blend of Jesus & Mary Chain, Primal Scream,
Afghan Whigs & Elvis Costello, Shade's soul rhythms ultimately serve as the
long-burning kindle to that immutable guitar noise. The hummable quality in any
given tune from their debut all but vaporizes in a show of instinctive, and
instinctively loud expression.

Monks – indie rock
“rock with modern
sensibility, tempered with almost oldies-style hooks,”
Pittbands.com
“stadium-sized
chunks of 'Baba O'Reilly' bloody knuckles at just that moment when Robert
Pollard turned it back into the kids-in-the-parking-lot racket it should've
never stopped being”
“tight musicianship & adrenaline-dripping
hooks remind you of the good ole days”
u The Chrome Yellow Co. - britpop --- indie rock
The Chome Yellow Co. euphorically blasted out not quite,
but almost discordant off-kilter anthem.
Young, loud, aggressive and infectious, TCYC’s songs were simultaneously
joyous and unnerving.. TCYC are wekk on there way to producing an almost
perfect kind of primitivism; beastly but not brawny, simple but not
simplistic.”

Reynolds -- The Spec
Joys of joys, - 60’s psychedlia crossed with steadfast
indie-pop preformed by four guys who look like the Monkeys. Home at last. Something about these guys screams Matador Records, perhaps
because they’re a bit like Pavement, and a bit clever. The Chrome Yellow also boast the most
animated bass player I have ever seen who, dressed Jack White –style, does
jumps and kicks while he plays a three-note bass line.

u The Olympus Mons - Shoegazer -- dreamy/noise pop
Brooding basslines, keys & guitar that makes you get
lost and solid drumming that brings you back to reality. Music for the soundtrack to life, with all
its changes, light and airy at times then walls of noise that all flow to make
something beautiful.
