keeping it alive from the mess i escaped from
picking up all the pieces that too had fallen apart
you were merciful in your touch, soothing all the gashes
my eyes slowly closed with your whispers and i gave in
love magnified by your spirit clarify all the blurry faces
images i've washed away in desperation to never again be known
through you i've forgiven and have learned to move on
words in any poem could never explain how grateful i am
how you touch my soul with the words you've let me stand on
i am an inspiration to you, and you are my only oxygen
without you my love, forever back i would have to trace
for you gave me reason to believe, one in which i had lost
though you do not know my feelings to be this sweetly full of grace
i know you can feel my heart beating wildly for your cause
so take me into your lungs and let me catch your breath
for everything i could be, is within your eyes so deep
so let me in, take me in and never let me leave
because you are my existence, my only reason to speak
i have confessed the beauty of you in which i dearly love
