the sunlight lowered its rays upon the wild currents of the lake
a breeze came as if to shyly ask, 'can i have this dance?'
and slowly the rays shimmered upon the water, for only loves sake
a kiss dances across the calming tides, love might just have a chance
the evergreen hills circle the scene, as the grass stands in awe
beauty runs into beautiful as lakes become oceans infront of you
for every miss, the next hit just might be the one to make you fall
and as the sun and lake dance, i wish i had someone to dance with too
if i could have watched them dance forever, until they both laid to sleep
i would have sat with hope laced through my heart and beauty on my eyes
but as the mile markers started to fly on by and there wasn't more to see
i kept going with the memories of the sun's romance tucked deeply inside
