Our Wooden Boat xx
xx Back
i row our boat out to sea
beneath the canopy of these stars
just to remember who you used to be
long before these heartfelt wars
through all the pain been done to me
i still have enough heart to care

i use your paddle with mine now
this sea is harder with out you
how i get on, i still wonder how
for you were all that i ever knew
and though these tears i do allow
i must find will to not love you

i come to this sea, to this boat
in hopes to find the missing pieces
drowned they have, i wish them to float
yet all i see are my distorted faces
i hold true to the words in that note
--"i'll search till my last breath ceases"
