Frozen Tears xx
xx Back
They become instantly upon my cheeks
My own water, my very own salt; a bitter taste
And yet as they become on my ivory flesh
They do not move, not even a single inch

They have just cause for being there
But not enough to run like a river
And yet perhaps they remain still out of fear
Afraid someone will see these frozen tears

But maybe they stay on my cheeks for something more
Perhaps to show me I have more reasons to smile, than mourn
