flailing for a leaf to catch me
yelling to the heavens for this pain
of causing more frowns than smiles
i have fallen more than this rain
landing in a bitter creek of mem'ries
ones that have left me forever slain
to the helpless whispers of the trees

upon which it drops unto my brow
so cold, brutal and renewing again
