Like a rain to the desert, you come and comfort me. You let me know you care with your words so gently. You talk, I listen intently. Your hand is inviting, and I'll hold on tightly. For your the first sign of help, here on this sea of tears. God knows how I waited these years. Make me feel deserving. Make me feel like living. Give me something to laugh to. Give me something, I'll never want to lose. Show all these fools, that you just gotta believe. When you believe, look at what you can achieve. Show them they're wrong. I'll try to remain strong. With your shoulder so near, I know I don't need to fear. I'll shed a tear. Not a tear of sadness, but a tear of sheer happiness. For I know, dear stranger that you don't want me to cry, but still these tears come. I'll tell you why, for the first time since my beginning; I've been invited in, out of the cold. I've been filled with words, that warm me from head to toe. And stranger, please know my feelings. This is the beginning and there's no ending in sight. So for tonight, I'll smile for you. For with you atleast, I find some peace. |
