i'm staring down a familiar road, one just like the one i've come from
i was promised a clearing at the end of this one, but all i see is another path
and i don't know if i can muster up enough courage to march to that same song
i don't know if my heart can bare anymore wear and tear than it already has
i love the thrill of adventures, the anticipation seems to kill me eventually
and though i love it, i just don't want to experience the same one again
too much of one thing can never ever be a good thing according to the heart in me
i don't know if my soul can be as brave as it once was and get to the twisted end
this road offers many more lessons to be learned and to grow stronger from
and where there is strength, i know it can only be achieved through inevitable pain
settling here in the inbetween sounds tempting, but i know if i do--i'll only wear frowns
so with a sigh upon my shoulders, i sling my dreams on my back and march on again
