Fudge
When I first bought Fudge brand hair dye, it was one of the least cost effective dyes on the market. At $15 per tube, we were looking at $30 to just cover my hair... and barely, I might add.
Well, Fudge is still expensive, but then again, the price of everything else is rising too.
The Review
2 and 1/4 stars out of 5 stars
Ease of Use: Four Stars

Fudge is pretty straight forward. You just comb it on until it's frothy, let it set and rinse it out. This process doesn't vary much from brand to brand. But compared with the much less time consuming "normal" hair dye, the combing of a wet product into dry, porous hair is a little bit of a hassle.
Availability: Two Stars

It pretty much goes without saying that where this is an expensive product, there are tons of vendors. In my neighborhood, though, it is less available than Punky and Manic Panic.
Affordability: One Star

I don't think anyone can truely afford to keep up a Fudge habit. Between the initial, application, root touch-ups and the fading, your looking at a pretty spendy venture
Fade Factor: Two Stars

Fudge has faded horribly since I put it in. And since punky had sucha wonderful staying power in my hair, then fudge has dropped in my estimation. Although, they do clearly state that their product may last up to 20 washes. If this is par for the course, I don't see why Fudge is lumped together with other products such as Punky and Manic Panic. being expensive doesn't make you worthy!
Directions:
Shampoo hair & towel dry. Wearing gloves, apply clour evenly on hair, keeping off scalp, and comb until it becomes frothy. Colour will take 15-30 minutes - a plastice cap of cling wrap will help processing. Rinse hair with warm water until water run's clear. Shampoo as normal. Durations and intensity of colour will vary, depending on hair type and condition, and may last up to 20 washes. For vibrant colour, first bleach hair to a pale yellow.
