Restart your computer and wait for the message
"Starting windows 9x..." or "Verifying DMI Pool Data"
When you see this on the screen, press F8.The boot menu will come up. Select
option "command
prompt" only to boot into Dos.
Go to DOS and type:
DEBUG hit enter
-o 70 2e hit enter
-o 71 ff hit enter
-q hit enter
It works on most version of AWARD BIOS.
Alternate Method
Open your mother board casing and remove the CMOS battery for 8 sec and plug the battery back in and restart your computer.
Alternate Method
Many motherboards have a 3 pin jumper to reset the CMOS to its default settings. Look for a jumper close to the battery or look at your manual if you have one. For example, you might find a three pin device with pins one and two jumpered. If you move the jumper to pins two and three and leave it there for over five seconds, it may reset the CMOS. Warning -- this will not work on all computers!
