I've no idea who Devon's PR people are and why they secured some oddly dubious projects resulting in (if I might offer my humble opinion here) absolutely embarrassing examples of perfectly worthless, art-farty and totally meaningless garbage!
Devon has constantly been in high demand for legitimate cover shoots, she's regularly been available for most (if not all) of the top prestigious fashion magazines on the planet.
Her exotic image bridges cultural divides. Devon has featured as a Vogue Cover Girl in no less than four countries !!! (France, Germany, Japan and Russia)
Equally impressive, she has paraded the catwalks of major cities modeling fashions created by the industry's most respected and gifted designers. Lancome, Chanel, and Versace have been proud to be represented by Devon.
She's never needed this avant-garde pretentious rubbish! It's achieved nothing other than to endorse Devon's perceived reputation as sometimes appearing a little weird.
I've got strong opinions about all this... not only did these so-called 'photo shoots' break new ground in pretentiousness, they all but presented Devon Aoki as a friggin' sideshow freak.
How could Devon strive for credibility, let alone excellence, while those around her, pretending to be guiding her, subjected her to such blatant ridicule.
At times, the exploitation of Devon Aoki seemed absolutely shameless.
