"Devon Aoki, The Epitome of Unconventional Beauty"... I read that on the net somewhere. For months I'd struggled to put into words Devon Aoki's intangibly exquisite appearance... and I think that sums it up perfectly.
We live in a superficial world. One of the most ordinary sportswomen (by world standards) Anna Kournikova earned millions of dollars in endorsements (plus magazine exclusives) while less attractive, but genuine champions, often struggle to secure minimum sponsorship.
It is no coincidence that two of the top earning Hollywood stars, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are easy on the eye. If they were judged on their acting abilities alone, could they really demand the millions they receive for a single movie deal ???
Devon has a striking screen presence that is never passed unnoticed. There's no gray area, movie-goers either consider her to be stunningly attractive... or simply plain weird.
To me, Devon's beauty is haunting, bordering on ethereality... I guess that's why she's chosen for fantasy roles ie: Sin City and DOA - Dead or Alive.
