Can Devon Act ?
The way I see it, she hasn't been given the chance.
Devon features in fantasy/action flicks that require very limited acting ability. She has yet to be offered a substantial role in a legitimate mainstream movie.
I believe she is typecast for such roles (fantasy/action) because of her unbelievably unique appearance, no-one on the planet even vaguely resembles Devon.
Devon unfortunately receives considerable on-line chatroom criticism for her acting, I guess it's because she not been professionaly trained, hasn't paid her dues. Her acting breaks have eventuated mainly due to her astonishingly successful modeling career.
But to be fair, Devon has never picked up a microphone spouting any lofty claims about her acting prowess... she duly acts out her roles as directed thereby providing movie-goers with an enthusiastic performance. Her on-screen 'presence' never passes unnoticed, how many other co-stars can even pretend to make such a claim ???
Devon is still very young... if she proves to be nothing more than a novelty, fantasy actress... well, it's yet to be seen.
But I hope that an established director would eventually be daring enough to give her a fair chance and offer her a role that demands the expertise of a genuinely talented actress... then we'll know.
