| These are the reasons from other people who were kind enough to contribute! ^___~ Be it long or short, thanks! Keep them coming, ok? I love opinions. (specially when they are like mine). Why or why not, tell me! I have one that is very very long, I'd like to thank Rei-chan for it. ^^ Also, one very important thing. All the opinions here are from other people. I did not write them. I only changed a few grammar mistakes. I don't want to change too much since it might become mine.Sometimes I add my opinion, usually a short sentence, but I tell it's mine. | Why I like her? ...ask Kenshin... ^.~# Kidding...Well... Tomoe is a very pretty girl, but she's much more than this. Her personality is difficult to describe... She's a little cold (she's NOT emotionless!!) but she's still sweet... VERY sweet! Do you remember in the OAV she was soooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeet!!! Her smile and her eyes... her love for him was shinin' but you see there, in her face, in her look... that she was not completely happy... because she knew then he was not safe... Yeah back on the matter... She's delicate, but she's a VERY strong person inside. We knew that in part 3 and 4. She has kind of an aura of mistery and magic (sadness too...) that makes her seem an eternal being. When she appeared on the rain of blood she seemed to shine in the darkness. A sad angel. Her eyes can penetrate the soul... She doesen't need to speak everytime or louden her voice to get attention... And her love for him is more than obvious... (Need I really say WHY?? ��") Yeah, yeah... she's the perfect girl for him... �^Rei-chan^� I like Tomoe, cuz she's so cute ^o^. Why can't Kenshin and Tomoe come together at all? :( But, she made him change his life, she showed him happiness and a lovely, though hard way to live. I think she's the cause why Kenshin got much stronger. David I like Tomoe because of her attitude... Or I should say I like the way and the style she lives. simple and beautiful... For me she's a model anime! She's the best of all the gals in the anime world, thanx to Nobuhiro Watsuki he made up his mind to make a character this good not some other anime artist just creating some coconut-head characters! the one that I like about Tomoe is her being brave... even though she's just a woman, she defended her loved ones (Kenshin) sacrificing her own body as a wall that may cause Kenshin's death after his senses was totally wiped out... and her voice... Oh hell yeah! I love her Voice! Ian <---good friend. ^__^ |

| What about Kenshin? Why I like him? (Oh, need I say anything??) Well... let's go to his relation to her... (Just because he's the man I want in my life... Platonic love... that's it! *blushes*) His love for her is much more than obvious too... Why? Ok, I'll say it... *takes a deep breath* Let's start! He himself said it... "I never knew what happiness was... but living here with you this last few months cleary showed me" (That's just so kawaii!! ^.~) Hm... he said in the manga, after they were told to go to Otsu and live like they're married... He said something like 'I would like if this could be more than a cover up...' (I don't really know the right words... sorry... but you get it, don't you?) (It is "Let's stay together, I don't know how long it will last, but if you will allow, I don't want it to be just for show. Together, 'til death do us part." --Mia) He knew happiness in her. He gave her his heart, love, soul. She was the sheath that fit him perfectly. Soulmates. She gave him everything she had... she gave him life. He kept going for her. He became the man we all know because of her love... He lived his life for her sake. His life from then had the weight of two. And her last smile (rare, sweet and precious smile that showed him all her love) kept on his mind, heart and soul, comforting him when he needed it... filling his life with warmth, telling him that everything is going to be all right. She is the fallen angel that shone a light of love and hope in the darkness of his life (and he needed this). Her forgiveness for all he did to make her unhappy. That cleary showed him the strength of her love. �^Rei-chan^� |

| Their relationship... If you know their history you have to know the undying love they shared. The end of this love story is so tragic... (It's UNFAIR!! *sob*) but endings like that make this love story an unforgetable one. (But it's still so UNFAIR!! *sob sob*) They deserved to be happy. They were made for each other... you know that by only seeing the two togheter. I wonder how they life would become if Fate had not bring death on their way. Fate is cruel... *starts crying* That's just TOO UNFAIR for me!! *crying harder* They should be happy togheter. sniff... *sob* But I know deep in my heart that they'll be together again... that this type of love, true love doesn't die. *wipes away some tears* Yeah... Their love will survive no matter how many years (decades or eras) would pass. �^Rei-chan^� |
| Why not Tomoe |
| I think some people dislike Tomoe only because they don't know her. Yeah, they just put in their heads that Kaoru is the best and the rest go to hell... That's not right. If they go and try to find about her life... her history and what she was trough they'll undestand her actions (and start to see her with other eyes). I at first only knew Kaoru and I still think she's a nice person (and like me, doesn't know how to cook... It's a hard life, believe me!) Then one day I saw the 'oh so called' Rurouni Kenshin OAVs... and everything changed. I knew only a few things about her... but that was enough to know that she was the one for Kenshin! And I start to search sites about her... and each little thing I learned about her made me more sure that she is special. You only have to be open minded and go on. Maybe you'll be so enchanted with her as I am. And one more thing, I do acept that Kenshin loved Kaoru. When he met her he find the chance to have friends and peace (I will do the same if I was a wanderer for more than 10 years... ^.^'). I only think that the love he share with Tomoe cannot be repeated, it's too strong. And it's not advisable trying to compare Tomoe and Kaoru. They're different people, like me and you. They have different thoughs, different behavior, they passed trough very different things and the two have they good and bad things. So, don't try to say that one is best than other in all ways 'cause it's wrong. Like I am not better than you or you better than I. Like anyone in this world is. And we have to understand and accept that. Of course, I keep saying that IF Tomoe didn't die, and still Kenshin met Kaoru I have no doubt that he will prefer Tomoe to be by his side. �^Rei-chan^� |
