Tomoe and her life: Tomoe Yukishiro comes from Edo (Tokyo). She is from a family of 3, her father, his brother Enishi, and herself. Her mother died after Enishi was born. Few months before meeting Kenshin, she was already to be married to an old childhood acquaintance, Kiyosato Akira. Unfortunately, he got killed by the Hitokiri Battousai. Soon after, she went to Kyoto as a spy for the Yaminoubu in order to revenge on the Battousai. She managed to find him and stay where he did. Seeing that the Hitokiri Battousai was still barely of age, she got a little interested in him and asked him many questions that made him think and realize that he kills so many innocent people and that it is very wrong. Tomoe found out more about Kenshin and his beliefs. Soon realizing that Kenshin was like a sword with no sheath, she decided and volunteered to be his sheath. After some time, Kenshin and Tomoe got married. They were already living a happy and peaceful life for half a year. Tomoe forgot all about revenge, she already learned how to love him. Until one day, Enishi came for a visit. Tomoe was so happy, but Enishi�s visit wasn�t any ordinary visit, Enishi�s purpose of visiting was to inform her that she had to make a report of Battousai the next day, in order to kill him. Tomoe was so shocked to find this out. She decided that she would not let Kenshin die there; she would just have to go and report a lie. The next day, Tomoe bade farewell to a sleeping Kenshin. She set off to the mountain where the Yaminobu were. She told them that Kenshin�s weakness was sleep. It didn�t work. After that she found out that she was used to be Kenshin�s weakness. She got so desperate that she tried to kill the leader, but she stroke her and she fell to the ground, unconscious. Kenshin got a letter in their house stating that they, the Yaminobu have Tomoe. He went to the mountain to get her back. He fought them, but he got so many wounds and his senses got messed up that he had a hard time fighting. At last Tomoe woke up, she saw them outside fighting, and told herself that she wouldn�t let the person she loved most die. Kenshin, realizing that he couldn�t rely on his senses, decided to sacrifice himself and risk it all in the last blow. He charged and slashed Tatsumi, but Tomoe has leapt between them, dagger raised. Kenshin's blow slashes both her and Tatsumi. Tomoe thought that it was fine, it�s all for the best, and she smiled. Finally, she died in the arms of Kenshin who was still crying. |
