They say this world's
A broken place
And that mercy is wasted
On the human race
While you point the finger
Place the blame
I strike a match
To light the flame
Bobby was a gay man
Beaten to death on the street
Susan was a poor girl
They found her naked and raped one day
Joseph got arrested
With a big ass bag of X
Judy's in a coffin
Hung herself and snapped her neck
Billy got expelled
For wearing a trenchcoat to school
Mary got AIDS
From her first lovers tool.
It's all because of TV
The music that they hear
Maybe it's their parents fault
They're the ones that put them here.
While you point the finger
Place the blame
I strike a match
To light the flame
There's a candle on my desk
I just let it burn
Because I know
We've still got a lot to learn
Ignorance and hypocrisy
Smother some
Like being buried alive
Into the darkness
Let's cary the light
