Sometimes I like to sit and watch the cars go by
Or just listen to the birds call
And the clouds pass overhead
In an endless sky
Sometimes I stop to think that things are just the same
But then I see the sun go down
An end to another day
Sometimes I stop to feel the wind caress my face
And it dries the tear that leaves
A line right down my cheek
Sometimes I stop to feel the pain...

But I never stop for long.
Sometimes I stop to wonder why I'm even here at all
Then I hear the crickets chirp
And see a car pass by
Sometimes I like to feel the love that I keep inside
And all the joy it brings
But I remember what we never were
And I still need your hand in mine
Sometimes I like to sit and watch the world go by...
