Frozen shadows linger on the windowsil
Everything seems so peaceful, silent and still
The world paused, if it would only stay this way
But slowly night will fade back into day
And the memories will fade away
Of that kiss we shared
That moment we dared
To lose ourselves in each others eyes
Never did we realize
Where it would lead us
Losing our love to primordial lust
Now you lie beside me sleeping
And I lay here silently weeping
I promised you that I would be strong
But we both see that didn't last long
How will you feel when the morning dawns
So lovely sleeping there, your hair mussed
Your eyes closed, smiling in your dream
I don't want to see you cry
I don't want you to regret or wonder why
I want you to love me only
I just want you to be happy
Confusion and doubt and guilt
Twist in my heart
Like our bodies under the quilt
One night together
Will this cause us to split apart?
