Author’s Notes: My first ever beard!fic. Or rather, beard!drabble. In my opinion Gimli is the only man who gets away with a beard. And maybe Dom. Yes Dom looks good with facial hair. But everyone grow beards, don’t they! Billy is growing a beard, and Elijah is growing a beard, and now Ian! The fellowship is turning into the Bearded Boys. I’m still too much in denial about Elijah being bearded but I’ve managed to drag myself out of denial enough to actually write something about Ian’s beard. Oh look at the time, I’ve ranted on and on about beards and now my Authors Notes are longer than the actual fic. Eh. Sorry!  

 

As Elijah stepped out of his bathrobe and into the shower of the much-loved and oft-visited public swimming pool they’d attended since they were children, he was faced for the first time with a consequence of Ian's newly grown beard. 

"What are those?" Zach said as he pointed to his brother's nether regions. "Those things on your crotch?" 

Elijah looked down and saw through the streaming water something akin to a rash covering his scrotum and the inside of his thighs. "Oh that," he said, embarrassedly covering up the small marks with a wash cloth. "Those are just scratch marks."
