Comments: This is a cool performance in a small club with few people and an amp that seems to enjoy feeding back a little. If anything, Maynard's vocals are obscured by the other instruments but that is being quite picky. There is a metal pole which basically blocks out MJK most of the gig but there are some real nice close-ups of Dan, Adam & Paul.

Comments: This gig before pretty much anyone had heard of or heard much of Tool. Filmed with permission by the band, this product was made available due to 'Chest Pains' Productions. Listen to the recording, you will know what I mean. It is interesting to hear the band go from standing in the crowd just talking to people to on-stage where they tune the instruments & talk. The camera gets all of it. Throughout the show, the camera has intense close-ups of Maynard, Adam, Paul & Dan. MJK -- mostly. As he belts out the songs, the camera focuses on his face maybe about 3 feet away- you do not want to be the focus of Maynard's stare. That stare -- spooky. There is a focus on MJK before Swamp Song which clearly displays his spine tattoo. Definitely one of the most interesting live recordings out.

Comments: This recording is filmed from the upper-right balcony, downward onto the band playing on-stage. The venue itself is a beautiful gothic-style church (w/stained glass windows) & very minimal renovation. The performance itself is straight-on & quite raw. Jerk-Off missing on many copies, but NOT this one! Bottom has very different lyrics. The sound is pretty decent for 1992 even though the video is grainy.

Comments: Absolutely superb filming on part of the taper. This may be the best filming from the 1994 tour. Good close-ups, focusing & very little camera jiggle. Believe it or not, this show occurred during the day so the band is extremely visible. This is THE video from 1994.

Comments: Filmed from the back of the pit, seating area, the audio and video are pretty good for the time period and the circumstances. Actually, that would be an under-statement, the audio & filming are simply awesome for even filmers these days. The camera shakes a little bit as the hand is not totally steady 100% of the time but is nonetheless a real nice recording of a very cool gig. There are times when heads get in the way

Comments: This is definitely not the most professional nor enjoyable video to watch. Not only are there tons of heads but the camera shakes like the filmer is an epileptic. The sound is less than ideal and there seem to be more glares from the light than there are close-ups of any band members. This is still pretty cool to watch, as there are a few positives such as a rather good close-up on Paul for a minute or so.... then the heads kick back in. However, the audio is mono, coming out of only the right side. Catch some awesome versions of early �nima-era songs.

Comments: This is the first show of '95. The performance is very interesting. Tool are playing in, basically, a big gymnasium. The taper stands towards the back of the venue and has a rather steady hand, although there is a bit of talking and crowd noise. This show is for people who are interested in the ever-evolving nature of these songs. Different lyrics, track lengths, and crowd reactions.

Comments: Shot from the center and slightly elevated, this DVD features one of the best "filmings" of Tool to date. There are some absolutely fantastic shots of MJK & Danny. There are a few real nice shots of Adam & Justin as well but this is, basically, a MJK/Danny center-right shot. This is very, very slightly off center. Surprisingly clear, focused & very crisp this recording is a key component in understanding the history of Tool's live performances. This concert also features the live debut of the following songs: 46 & 2, Hooker with a Penis, Jimmy, and Third Eye.

Comments: The video itself is decent but has a bit of spastic tendencies by the taper. The performance was a standard, but yet still a fluid performance from 1996. Some say that Tool was at the top of their game at this stage, and others say this was simply a tasty performance and that it is a blessing that this is out for trade & was captured in the first place. There is a cut out on Hooker with a Penis.

Comments: The picture is rather crisp, clean, and the sound seems to be as good as is 'out there' for this particular show. Tool was very cool in this performance as well. Maynard & Justin are -decked out- in paint & horns. Interesting. One of the best moments I've yet seen in a Tool recording is when MJK, in response to a fan jumping on stage, wrestles some guy into a choke hold during Pushit & just sits on him. . MJK is on this guy for at least 7 minutes & at times is just hitting him on the back of the head.

Comments: Overall, this very well could be the clearest, sharpest, most detail oriented, cleanest, professional, live and intensely accurate audience recordings of Tool to come out of this particular leg of the tour; or even from the entire AEnima era. Best of 1997 for sure. The camera is more straight & non-jerky than 99% of other Tool recordings and the audio came out superbly well for being sourced from a Hi-8mm. There are few videos of this caliber out there.

Comments: The sound is remarkably good, with a little tape hiss. Although a little shaky at times & heads get in the way, there are some very nice close-ups of each member of the band but mainly Maynard. There are also some good screen shots. Interesting to see how Stinkfist 'live' video has transformed over the course of touring. This show is at dusk & Maynard is the 'Geisha' (with the pony-tail). So weird, it is, very weird.

Comments: The 1st 30 minutes are fairly rough (rowdy crowd), and a lot of people got hurt.The pre-amp overloaded camera mics distorted kick drum & bass at times. After that, the video is pretty consistent, close, & only semi-obstructed footage from time to time with expected bumping creating some shaking (to be expected with any floor shot video). Very enjoyable to say the least! Very vivid and sharp video.
