1984 Kurt Cobain Horror Movies

Comments: In 1984 Kurt Cobain, Dale Crover, and Krist Novoselic recorded this video on the streets of their hometown, Aberdeen, WA. Using Krist Novoselic's Super 8 camera the three (and possibly more) filmed a slew of seemingly random events, and a few pretty disturbing structured ones. Approx. 10 minutes long. Also, there is no sound, and there never was on anyone's recording.

Comments: This is the clip from Live! Tonight! Sold Out! right before the song, "About A Girl" is played. But in this complete version, the footage starts with Dave looking at albums and ends long after the Live!Tonight! Sold Out! footage ends.
10/21/90 On A Plane

Comments: This video was filmed by Krist Novoselic on a British Airways flight crossinig the ocean for their European Tour. This is another piece of footage that overlaps the official NIRVANA release Live! Tonight! Sold Out!. In some parts this footage picks up where Live! Tonight! Sold Out! leaves off, and in other cases the two different videos contain some of the same footage.
10/21/90 Europe 1990

Comments: This footage was recorded by the band on Shepherds Bush Road in London, England, while preparing to record in-studio with the legendary John Peel. Some clips of this footage also appear in Live! Tonight! Sold Out!, but as is the case with the much of this video package, the clips here are more complete or pick up where the Live! Tonight! Sold Out! footage leaves off. The footage begins with Dave and Chris walking the streets of London, and then going into a cafe for some drinks. The next bit of footage is filmed inside Nirvana's tour van, and then cuts to inside John Peel's studio preparing to record. The footage then cuts to Kurt playing drums for about 15 seconds. The next scene cuts ahead to the band pissed off because somebody rearranged their equipment incorrectly, causing some items to no longer fit in the van. Krist (and his video camera) go from person to person asking whether or not they are the culprit. When Krist asks kurt he simply burps into the camera. Parts of this segment can also be seen in Live! Tonight! Sold Out!. The final scene in the Europe 1990 section is the band driving through the English countryside listening to Pixies "Bossonova." This section of the Horror Movies package concludes with Krist shouting "Jimi Baby!" at a statue of Jimi Hendrix. This was filmed in Piccadilly Circus in London as the band drove to the Astoria.
10/25/90 Leeds, England - Polytechnik

Comments: This footage was recorded at a venue called Polytechnic in Leeds, England. Small clips of the backstage footage can be found on Live! Tonight! Sold Out!. Although there is already a complete video of this concert in wide circulation, a complete video from this camera angle is completely unsurfaced. This segment of the video starts with clips of Krist talking to members of L7, and then almost immeadiately cuts to a strange conversation with some people in the alley behind the Astoria. Soon after, the footage shifts to members of NIRVANA, L7, and some road crew hanging out backstage at the venue waiting to take the stage If this piece of footage appears somewhat familiar that is because clips of it are present in Live! Tonight! Sold Out!. The bands dicuss the schedule a little and how L7 is not playing when they are supposed to. The footage cuts to one of NIRVANA's crew vandalizing the backstage area of the venue. The backstage footage concludes after a brief interview with NIRVANA's dancer from 10/25/1990. The actual Nirvana concert footage is taped by Jennifer from L7, from directly on the stage. Unfortunately the camera is positioned so that the microphone picks up alot of guitar and drums, but very little vocals.

Comments: The final piece of footage in this package comes in the form of clips from Nirvana's performance at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham, England. These clips originate from a completely unsurfaced (audience) video of this show.
