A year has passed since you went home.
Your work on earth was complete.
You often asked me, "Why don't the Lord
Just take me on home?"
I always answered, "Because your work
On earth is not finished,
There are still things you need to do."
Your life on earth was for a purpose,
Whatever that may have been
Was fully accomplished on
September 22, 2001.
At 12:55 A.M.
Your earthly life came to an end.
You led a full life from start to finish.
For many years you held our family together.
The last few years you were my best friend.
Daddy, last year when you went away
My life was turned upside down.
That last night that you were on earth
I prayed:
"God, if it's Daddy's time to pass over
Please come quickly."
It's not that I wanted you to go away,
But I wanted you out of pain;
Happy and in God's will.
Then the following weeks,
I felt like I was neglecting you;
Daddy I miss you so much!
But you are no longer in pain and
No longer feeling like you are a
Burden to your family.
You are eternally in the presence of
The Master and living a
Healthy productive life.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Life with you here was sweet
But when we meet in the near future
It will be the sweetest!
