| I Knew A Young Man | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| I once knew a young man, Who was invincible you see. He had it all figured out and had crossed all his T's, Who in his own mind was happy and free. |
| He was sure of himself this incredible young man, He had the world by the tail and had made all his plans. His life would be a good one just you wait and see, There was nothing impossible for a man such as he. |
| The world would marvel as he traveled life's road, Building and struggling never sharing his load. He would meet all challenges that would come his way, Have the best that money could buy and keep it all safe. |
| Then the strangest thing happened in his life so free, It all started piling up and was getting pretty deep. He saw the plans and all the dreams he had made, Shifting and changing more and more every day. |
| He was getting older and really begain to see. That life has it's changes but doesn't mean defeat. He saw it's not the things that makes our life so sweet, But the people in it that makes it complete. |
| So as you grow older and wiser you'll see, In some things we may fail but it doesn't mean we're beat. This young man with not such a grasp on the handle of life, Well, He's happy as can be for that young man is now old me. |
