A Childs Prayer
There is a Prayer that we all know,
Started as a child long years ago.
Down on my knees beside my bed,
Most every night these words I said.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the lord my soul to keep.
And if I die before I wake,
I pray the lord my soul to keep.
When I was young I didn't know,
About the one who loved me so.
And how he died on calvary's tree,
That I might live eternally.

Now I've come to know the Lord,
And the comfort of God's word,
I feel his blessed love and care,
It started with this childrens prayer.
