The outskirts of New Meridian, in the woods. [Open to Grey]
The black wolf woke slowly in the morning sun. Light glinted off dark fur, shone in his eyes. He opened on slowly, then the other glaring accusingly up at the bright intruder that pulled him from pleasant sleep. A gruff sound in his throat, Jesse rolled over, muzzle to muzzle with a grey wolf who still slept. With an expression that would have been a smile were he in human form, Jesse licked Grey's muzzle, pink tongue poking into silvery grey fur.

There was really no rush to wake up, to get moving, to do anything really, since they'd hunted last night. But Jesse had a reason to get up and get moving. Staying where he was, curled against warm fur, Jesse shifted back to human form and waited for Grey to wake up.

It was more the feeling of Jesse changing that roused Grey than the lick, and the grey wolf made a grumbling sound of displeasure deep in his throat before cracking one eye open.

Grey eyed Jesse reproachfully before licking at his face, tongue scraping pleasantly along the perpetual scruff of a beard. He waited just a little longer, lingering as long as possible in his wolf form before shifting as well.

Rolling onto his back, silver hair fanning out on the forest floor, Grey huffed at Jesse, disgruntled.

Jesse almost laughed at that look, at the sound Grey made. He never really much liked being out of wolf form, didn't much like waking up either, but Jesse had solutions for both. He rolled back into Grey, burying his face in his neck for a moment, inhaling his scent, before reaching up to brush fingers through silver hair.

He didn't speak, instead, he just pressed lips to the underside of Grey's jaw, and made a sound in his throat that hovered somewhere between a hum of pleasure and an apology for waking him.
