(Letter Thread) Correspondance sent on Sunday (Hamlin/Chai/Evie W.)
To Evelyn Wilheard,
I write you today with an invitation. I have met you in passing several times at your place of employ, though we have never truly spoken. I would think you an excellent conversationalist and would therefore like to ask you to become a fellow member of Graves Hall. We meet when we so desire at Graves Hall, situated in Hamlin. It is members only and you will be able to enter the building since I have invited you, if only to look it over before making a concrete decision. I do think you might find something to like about our humble little hall.
Anxiously awaiting your reply,
Hamlin Graves
To Thongchai Saenamuang,
I found your response to Gideon Morrow's proposition on public drunken revelry eloquent and well reasoned. Though compliments aside, that is not the reason I write to you today. I have found Graves Hall lacking in new and interesting faces and I believe you would make a fine addition to our ranks, that is if you so desire to join us. Please drop by and pay us a visit.
I must admit, I'm rather flattered and pleasantly surprised by your very gracious invitation. I will take you up on your offer to visit the Hall before making my final decision, but I expect only good things.
When would be an appropriate time for me to come by?
I'm pleased to read that you'll visit. Any time will be fine, if you'd like me to be there simply set a time and date. I will be at your service, though you are certainly free to explore on your own if you prefer.
If I'm to call you Hamlin, then it's only right you call me Evie.
I'll have to make arrangements before I can travel to Hamlin, but I'll be sure to send you a date and time beforehand. Though, the invitation to explore freely is very tempting. Either way, I'll keep in touch and keep you informed.
First of all I thank you for you fine compliments. But to the heart of the matter:I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by your invitation. After consideration I have decided I will most certainly take your offer and pay a visit to the Hall. Many people would love the opportunity I've been given, and I confess I am one of many who has wondered what goes on within those walls.
Shall we set forth an appointment? An appropriate time for my visit? I await your response. Thank you.
I have long considered you a viable candidate for the Hall; in truth I don't know why I waited so long to invite you. I assure you, nothing but tomfoolery occurs within our walls. We are merely a society of sociable people.
As for an appointment you may drop by the hall at any time. If you'd like me to accompany you I will, but you may feel free to explore on your own as well.
