Written By: Pat Walsh "Wedding Day Blues" Scene: 1 Setting: St. Marie Cruise Ship As Taylor stands on the docks, and listens to the wedding through her bug. She listens for the minister to start the cereimony. She grabs her little black device, and grips it in her hand. "Everything will sink, when the times right." she smiles to herself. ... The bridal march begin's, everyone stands up, and faces the back to the aisle. They all gasp as Cassandra appaers at the end of the aisle. Cassandra slowly starts to walk down the aisle. She starts thinking of some of times with Neil. (Sheryl Crow's Soak Up The Sun Plays) Cassandra lays on the beach, as Neil surprises her by dumping a bucket of cold ocean water on her. She gets up and starts chasing him down the beach. He grabs her when she tries to kick him, and drags her out into the ocean. She comes up all wet. Neil sits on the beach and laughs at her. ... Neil's making a sandcastle, Cassandra comes running through it. Neil gets up and runs after her. He finally tackels her to the ground. They look at the sky as the sunsets, Neil still on top of Cassandra kisses her. ... Neil leads a blindfolded Cassandra to a picnic in the park. Neil sits her down, as he brings out the meal. After being told to remove the blindfold, she kisses him after seeing the picnic. ... Neil and Cassandra sit in the steam room. She takes his hands, and loves them all around her hot, naked body. Neil kisses her. The couple end up making love. (Sheryl Crow's Soak Up The Sun Stops) As Cassandra continues to walk, she slowly comes to terms that this time, this wedding is going to be forever. She rememebers parts of her first marriage. "Your nothing but a stupid bitch." Herb yells. "I did nothing wrong. You cheated on me! Not the other way around." Herb slaps Cassandra across the face. "You never take that tone with me again." Herb turns his back, Cassandra gets up from the floor, she wipes her hands across the nose, and sees the blood. "Get out." "Excuse me!" "Get out of my house. I'm not letting you give me another broken hip, another bleeding nose. I'm not here for you to beat the shit out of me, and then threaten the kids." Herb goes to punch Cassandra, as he swings she ducks and kicks him in the balls. He falls to the ground in pain, as he hits the ground he yells bitch. Cassandra, grabs the phone, and locks herself in the bathroom. She calls the cops. Herb breaks down the door, but is arrested before he can do anymore damage. Cassandra notices she's crying, she wipes all the tears from her eyes, and continues. "Calm yourself. Neil will never hurt you. He's nothing like Herb." she thinks. Neil meanwhile stand, waiting for Cassandra. He watches with the biggest smile as she slowly continues down the aisle. "Hope, we need a divorce." "Damn it Neil! I've known that for months." "I just can't believe that my first marriage is ending this way." "I'm so sorry Neil. I never meant to hurt you, but we were never really... you know. We never had a bond. We married a mere month after meeting." "Let's make a promise to be friends. No matter what, lets stay friends." Hope and Neil join hands and promise to remain friends. They then hug. "We're better friends then we are lovers." Neil looks around, and thinks of Hope. "I wish you were here. At least were still friends." He thinks to himself. Neil and his second wife Nancy, have just renewed their vows. He carries her off to the bedroom. "Nancy, you know that I love you. Nothing will ever come between us. Even now with you having so little time, I know that our love will remain strong, and you'll always be in my heart." Neil says. He lays Nancy in the bed. He kisses her cheek. They exchange 'I love yous.' Neil changes for bed. He crawls into bed. "Nancy, before you die, I want to take you somewhere. We'll go tomorrow, okay?" Neil doesn't get a response. He starts crying. He places his head on her chest, and heres her heart beat the last few times before she dies. "I love you." Nancy whispears to him. Neil grabs her hand. Neil looks up at the sky. He smiles as he thinks of his late wife Nancy. "Me and Cassandra will live long together. We'll be together until the end time." The bridal march stops, Neil and Cassandra join hands. "Your so beautiful." Neil says. ... Back on the docks, Taylor stands listening through her bug. She hears the minister start the cereimony, she looks at the device, and pushes the button. ... Back on the cruise ship, Taylor's gift beeps three times. Scene: 2 setting: Damon House Sharon lays in bed, in tears. She continues to blame herself for Shawn's death. Suddenly Sharon hears a women's voice. "Sharon... Sharon... Sharon... I know how you can be reuntied with Shawn." Sharon sits up in bed, and looks around. "Who...who said that?" she stutters. "Sharon... follow me. I'll show you everything you need. If you follow me, Shawn will be back with you forever." "How can I trust you?" Suddenly Sharon starts hearing Shawn's voice. "Sharon, its me Shawn. God how I've missed you. I miss holding you. If you follow, I'll never be away from you. Or have you moved on?" "Never! I'll do whatever I have to do! Just stay with me Shawn." Shawn's voice disappaers. "Sharon come on. There's not alot of time left." the female voice says. Sharon climbs out of bed, and races to follow the voice. Scene: 3 setting: St. Marie Cruise Ship "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this women in holy matrimony. Before we begin, we are going to pray. Everyone lowers their head. ... Taylor starts laughing out loud, as sits on the dock with her feet in the water. "There going to need more then a prayer to get them through this wedding." she laughs. ... "Now were ready to begin. Neil and Cassandra have been together off-and on- for a little over a year, today they are ready to take the plunge into the wedded bliss. This will be the third marriage for Neil, and the second for Cassandra. Today together they are ready to start a brand new life together. They have promised to give, trust and lean on each other for support through the tough and smooth road that lies ahead." the ministers says. ... Taylor listens as the cereimony continues. "This is too good. No one has any idea that they aren't going to see much more of a wedding." Scene: 4 Setting: Damon House Sharon follows the voice into the bathroom. "Take the razor Sharon." Sharon picks up the razor. "Now listen carefully. I want you to cut yourself." "Why would I do that?" Sharon asks. "Do it for me. Do for us. Do it so we can finally be reuntied." Shawn's voice says. Sharon closes her eyes, as the tears start flowing. She rubs the razor against her wrist. She starts cringing as she starts cutting her wrists. She holds in the pain. "OPEN YOUR EYES! LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" teh voice demands. Sharon looks down at her wrist. She lets out a scream. She goes to turn on the cold water to stop the cut from bleeding. "SHARON, YOU TOUCH THAT TAP AND WE WILL NEVER BE TOGETHER! I WOULDN'T EVER TAKE YOU BACK!" Shawn yells. "Shawn, I'm in pain. I need to stop the blood." "FINE! STOP THE THE CUT FROM BLEEDING. BUT NOW LIVE WITH YOURSELF, I'M NOT TAKING YOU BACK, AND NOW THAT I'M LEAVING, HANDLE THIS-- YOU KILLED ME SHARON, ITS ALL YOUR FAULT THAT I'M DEAD." The voices fade away leaving Sharon all alone. "Wait. Come back. Please stay with me. I need you to be with me. Please help me. Shawn! Shawn! Shawn if you can hear me, come back. I need your help. I need you." Sharon continues to say this, as she runs around the house looking for the voices. Scene: 5 Setting: St.Marie Cruise Ship "I, Cassandra Newbury with this ring take Neil Gates to be my husband to love, honor, and cherish. In sickness and in health till death do us part." Cassandra says as she slips the ring on his hand, she feels the strength in his hand. "He's here to protect me. I will always be safe with him next to me in life." Cassandra thinks to herself. "I, Neil Gates, take Cassandra Newbury to be my wife to love, honor, and cherish. In sickness and in health till death do us part." As Neil slips the ring on her finger, he notices how delicate her hands are. "I have to be her light in the dark, lead her through bad, and back into the good." he thinks. "The couple have choosen to say a few words of their own to say to each other." "Neil, when you came into my life, I never knew I needed anyone. And then when you left, and I tried to live without you, nothing seemed right. It felt as if my bestfriend was missing. It felt like I was missing half my heart, and then you came back, and made me feel whole again. I want to spend the rest of my life with you right by my side. I don't want anyone else. I want you to protect me from harm, and keep me safe. As long as I'm with you, I'm happy. I love you." Cassandra cries. ... "Oh geez. How much more sappy can this be. Cassandra, you and Neil will be fine. Go and live long together, I don't care." Taylor says to herself. "Both Neil and Cassandra, have prepared a little something to say to each other. Scene: 6 setting: Damon House Sharon finally heres the voices again in the basement. "Sharon, were sorry we left you. We want you to lay down on the couch." Sharon wipes her eyes, and does what she's told. "We want you to close your eyes, and think of heaven, think of us reunting. Think of happy times that we'll share." Sharon closes her eyes. "Now as your doing that, continue to cut yourself." Sharon sticks the bloody razor back into the cut, and jabs it into her skin alittle deeper. She again crignes at the pain. "Why do I have to cut myself? It hurts so much." "Its the only way." Sharon continues to cut her left wrist. She then switches when she's told. "Sharon, are you done yet?" a voice calls out. Sharon looks at her wrists, no blood, but numerious cuts around the veins. "Sharon." the voice calls out Sharon runs to where the voice is calling. Still she sees nothing but black. "SHARON!" The voice calls again "I can't find you. You need to give me a light. Show me the way to where you are." "SHARON!" "Where are you? Show me where you are?" "SHARON!" is continually yelled, it fades back, and is hard to hear soon. Sharon passes out on the basement couch, the razor on the floor in a circle of blood. Her wrist on her chest, as the blood runs down her body. Scene: 7 setting: St. Marie Cruise Ship "Cassandra, ever since you came into my life, I've never been more happy. You are my everything. Without I to feel incomplete, I'm so happy that from here on in, not only are we going to be together forever, but that you've completed me, and filled my heart with the love that has been missing. I love today, tomorrow, and until the rest of time." "If there is anyone here to thinks that these two people should not be married, please speak now or forever hold your peace." A silence falls over the guests. "With the power of the Hawiaan State in me, I now pronouce you both husband and wife. (The guests start clapping.) Go with the blessings of us here witnessing your union. You may now kiss your bride." As the guests clap, and cheer, Neil lifts Cassandra's veil. They smile. Neil bends down and kisses Cassandra. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I now have the pleasure of introducing Mr. and Mrs. Neil Gates" as the minister says Taylor watches as her bomb goes off, just as the minister finsihes saying 'Mr. and Mrs. Gates.'
