The Interview
Herbert's one consuming desire in life is to write dramatic after-school specials for television.
He has spent the last 4 ˝ years on what he believes to be his greatest work yet: The Mechanized Eroticism of the Vegetable People: A Saga. 3,046 pages, and finally it is finished.
Incredibly, he has managed to secure an interview with an Important Television Producer.
"So…you want to write after-school
"That is correct. My work is not for children."
"And this is because…?"
"Because they don't need it yet."
"And, you don't actually watch television or own a television yourself?"
"That is correct." 
"Well, Herb, we'll keep in touch!"
(Herbert feels a little better about himself after listening the producer mutter to himself on the bus a few months later.)
