Gale Harold

Gale M Harold III was born on July 10th, 1969 and raised in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia and has one sister but it is not known what his parents' occupation is or what their names are. He is very secretive about his private life, and his age. One of his hobbies is collecting and renewing old Italian motorcycles.

Gale attended Southwest Dekalb High school and his influences include Jack London, Gandalf and David Bowie which alerted him to the bizarre Pentecostal up bringing.

With a soccer scholarship under his belt, he began a Liberal Arts degree in romantic literature at the American University in Washington, D.C. but differences with his coach resulted in his departure, after just one and a half years. Then he started studying fine arts at the San Francisco art institute. Realizing that his scholarship was of no real benefit to him, he decided to make other plans.

In 1997, his compatriot, Suzy Landau, producer for Francis Ford Coppola (Dracula), urged him to take his act to the stage.

He was introduced to actor and director Joan E. Scheckel and soon relocated to LA, starting an intense 3 year period of dramatic study and exploration.

His acting career really only began at the age of 28. He was accepted to and completed the Actors Conservatory Program with *A Noise Within*, a classical theatre company. He appeared in the theatrical debut as "bunny" in `Me and My Friends`.

Featured film credits include `36k` and Indie film `Mental Hygiene`.

Theatre credits include `Long Days Journey Into Night`, `The Importance of Being Ernest`, `Sweet Bird of Youth`, `Miss Julie`, `The Misanthrope` and `Cymbelin`.

He now stars in the hit dramatic series Showtimes QUEER AS FOLK, playing lead character Brian, and has been in two commericals for the Aztec car.
