Flora Chan

It's been 10 years already since she chose to be an actress as her career. Time realli flies.

Not like the other "forever" Flora fans, I didn't notice her when her first drama File of Justice 5 was on air in 1997. Probably i was too young at that time and wasn't allow to stay up and watch tv dramas. I did not know Flora's existence until her drama Masculin Feminilty ( i called it Mr.Diana) which was on air in 1998.

During my childhood time, the most up-to-date topic is about singers and getting the "yes cards". I remember my friend always asked me " Who is your favorite singer?" I couldn't answer her, because i didn't have one. I would try to tell her i like Flora Chan, but my friend replied " who is she? " or " She is not a singer" After a while, i gave up telling my friend about Flora chan and pretened that i liked Kelly Chan or Miriam Yeung at that time, but i always knew Flora Chan was the one i liked the most.

Still, i was pretty young at that time, i wouldn't have the idea about going to her function and seeing her in live, didn't even dream of that. 2 years later, when Healing Hand 2 was on air, that when i started to notice her even more. Also, that was the time when she was always on magazine covers and news due to her ear- infections and divorce.

I started to collect her news, slowly, my friends and family helped me to find her whenever they read the newspaper or magazine. Until now, i have collected a fair amount of her news, no matter it's is photos, posters, or from the newspaper. Well, of course, i can never compare with those of "forever" flora fans, but i am satisfy with what i have right now. Sometimes, when i take them out and look at them, i always think back the old good time! After i came to Canda to study few years ago, news about her in hand getting lesser and lesser, so i realli tresure what i have now.

I was lucky enough to see Flora in live for a few times. Three times in Hong Kong and a few days when Flora came to Vancouver for a charity concert. That was the most unforgettable days i had with her. I will never forget the moments we shared.

In my opinion,
The best performance (TVB dramas only) is Triumph in the sky, because that when she impoved the most, especially her crying skill and kissing skill. The whole idea about airplane was great and the plot was interesting too. The only flaw that make this drama imperfect is the endng episodes, it drags and drags. So, the best drama is Family Man, it is only a 20 episode drama, but the message is brought out vividly,and the plot from the beginning to the end flow expectionally well. She and Moses look realli good together. I watched it at least 4 times!
Of course, Mr. Diana is my favorite too, uuz it is the one which made me know who Flora was. And i just love those ghost- human dramas, very interesting..

Right now, i know Flora is not in contrast with TVB, and is shooting quite a few dramas in other counties. Although i would like her to shoot more TVB dramas, i am glad that she is more relax and healthier leaving TVB. Right now, i am watching The Great Adventure and Romance of Venus. Both have theirs uniqueness, i am enjoying them.
