Lonoke Baptist Church Ski Pictures
Well it looks as if the Lonoke Baptist Church Ski group got snowed in at Colorado!  This page was set up so the families of these kids could be reassured that everyone was okay during the trip.  One thing's for sure, they all have plenty of stories to tell now that they are home!  Chelsie's dad and brother were on the trip, but unfortunately Chelsie didn't get to make it this year.  She says she's kind of glad she didn't get stuck in the snow, though!

The Scoop:

Lonoke Baptist was headed to the Winter Park Ski Resort for a fun ski retreat.  After the bus ran off the road and hit a guard rail in eastern Kansas, and then running off the road again 3 more times just outside of Denver, they got to their last mountain pass to cross.  The group found First Baptist Church in Idaho Springs, CO to stay in.  God Bless them!  The group was approximately 40 miles from the resort but since all roads were closed for days, they stayed at the church until the roads opened again.  Then they spent their third and last night at The Abundant Way Chalet Lodge in Evergreen,CO.  Owners:  Fran Black and Norma Propp

Lonoke Baptist Church can never thank them enough for taking care of the group for the last night.  Please e-mail them and thank them, or maybe even visit the lodge if you are ever in the area.

Even though the kids were disappointed about not skiing, they all returned home safe and sound and everyone is very grateful!
