Language Arts-We are learning about contractions and are reading and writing alot! We will be taking our Unit 3 test and answering questions independently. We are writing sentences by sounding them out. We are doing really good with punctuation, spacing and capitalization. Reading Log Homework starts in January. Your child will read a minimum of 15 minutes a night (Mon-Thurs) and 20 minutes over the weekend. Every Monday I will be checking that 80 minutes were read.
Math-We are beginning our speed tests. We start with addition and then move onto subtraction. We are talking about geometrical shapes and place value.
Religion-We are talking about sacraments. We begin with the sacrament of Baptism. We also are learning about God's gifts.
Science-We are making hibernating habitats. We are also learning about penguins. We are talking about Winter in different places.
Social Studies-We are talking about maps and natural resources. We talked alot about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and how to love everyone even if they are different from us.
