Today, mountain gorillas are being conserved by a number of organizations around the world. There has been the Mountain Gorilla Protection Project which is a collaboration between H. Dieter Steklis of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund (D.F.G.F.) and Dr. scott Madry from the Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis located in Rutgers University, the Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis (CRSSA) that is currently using a variety of analytical tools including imaging radar from the space shuttle Endeavor's Space Radar Laboratory and many more projects aiming to save the gorillas. Most of them are mainly sattelitte imaging used to detect their eating patterns, habitats and shelter to encourage them on with their behavior while others include those going into the wild and aiding the homeless, infant and injured gorillas. Even you can help, all you have to do is click on the link at the right bottom and you can save a mountain gorillas life.
