Great plot, almost impeccable acting and a very cute dog makes this film a must see. Plot: An obsessive compulsive man finds love and cure in his gay artist neighbor and his single mom waitress. A very unlikely yet touching movie. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to all. This gets 4 go's cuz it wasn't the best movie ever but close.

This movie deserves to be seen at least 3 times (Carrot saw this 5 times)! At first, Pea thought Helen Hunt would capture most, if not all, of his attention, but it turns out the relationships between the male (and sort of" male) characters were more interesting. This is not to say that Helen wasn't great, or that Pea prefers the alternative," it is just a tribute to the wonderful performances by Greg Kinear, Cuba Gooding Jr. and of course, Jack Nicholson. The movie is full of comic moments: Restaurant scene in Baltimore, dog through the dumpster, Helen telling Jack off in her restaurant, etc. In addition to the hilarious scenes, the movie also forces the audience to consider the deep points offered by the film (if you didnt/dont get the points, you must be an oak tree). Most unnecessary or "why did it have to happen" scene: when Greg got beat up in his studio. Contrary to Louise and Bob, we believe the dog was definitely NOT cute; while the choice of the "lead dog" was rather regrettable, we still give this 4 Go's ( off for the dog, of course).
